Cleansing Muscles Joints Stimulating Tonic
Sage has a strong, powerful, herbaceous, medicinal aroma and has a long history of use. It was highly prized by the Romans for numerous conditions and extensively used in the Middle Ages.
Sage is used for clearing spaces and negative energy. Some people use sage smudge sticks for this purpose although it is easier to use essential oil of Sage. Simply put a few drops of Sage in a burner to clear away negativity.
It is not to be confused with Clary Sage which has totally different properties. Sage is stimulating whereas Clary Sage is deeply relaxing.. So quite important to use the right one!
Sage is invaluable as a detoxifier for the whole body. It is often used for constipation and also stimulates the digestion and helps a poor appetite. Use 1 drop Sage, 1 drop Marjoram and 1 drop Rosemary in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil and gently massage the abdomen in a clockwise direction to combat constipation. To help a poor appetite use 1 drop Sage and 1 drop Bergamot on a tissue and inhale.
It is highly beneficial for the joints and muscles. Try 1 drop Sage, 1 drop Lavender and 1 drop Frankincense in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil for stiff muscles and conditions such as lumbago and fibrositis.
During the menopause Sage can help to control night sweats, hot flushes and mood swings. Use 2 drops Sage, 2 drops Cypress, 1 drop Rose and 1 drop Peppermint in the bath.
Sage is also effective for those with low blood pressure. Put a drop on a tissue and inhale whenever you feel any symptoms.
On a spiritual level use Sage to protect yourself from psychic attack.
