Lemongrass Essential Oil
Digestive Uplifting Revitalising Tonic
Use Lemongrass to spur you into action!
It is uplifting both on a physical as well as an emotional leve.
Great for that Monday morning feeling or to combat mental fatigue and nervous exhaustion at the end of a long hard day. I also find it invaluable for those who have recently given birth. A new baby is very tiring and Lemongrass really helps to perk the mother up. I found this oil helped with my milk supply too after the birth of my 2 children. Put a couple of drops on a tissue and inhale throughout the day.
I often recommend Lemongrass to sportspeople too both before and after exercise. It’s great both for the prevention and treatment of over exercised muscles. Lemongrass relieves tired, achy legs and toxins such as lactic acid. When you wake up in the morning and you are thinking what an idiot you are for overdoing the exercise Lemongrass is a fabulous oil for you! Put 3 drops Lemongrass and 3 drops Rosemary in your bath.
Lemongrass is also useful for clearing up oily skin and acne, as well as athlete's foot. In fact Lemongrass is ideal for many foot problems.
If you suffer with excessive perspiration of the feet then try a footbath with 3 drops Lemongrass and 3 drops Cypress.
As Lemongrass is a toner it can be useful after dieting if there is any loose skin as well as for cellulite.
Try 1 drop Lemongrass, 1 drop Black Pepper and 1 drop Fennel in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil.
On a spiritual level Lemongrass revives a tired, depleted spirit.
