Ginger Root Essential Oil
Digestive Stimulant Fiery Warming Pain relieving
Ginger is a warming, stimulating and revitalising essential oil
Ginger is well-known for the treatment of digestive problems. Use a couple of drops on a tissue or handkerchief to combat travel sickness. This method can also be used for morning sickness as well as sickness caused by the effects of chemotherapy. I often use a combination of Ginger and Mandarin and sometimes Peppermint. It depends on your aroma preference. Ginger can also be used diarrhoea and constipation.
Ginger gives a fantastic boost to the circulation. If you suffer with cold hands and feet try a footbath with 3 drops Ginger and 3 drops Black Pepper. Or blend a massage oil of 1 drop Ginger, 1 drop Black Pepper and 1 drop Geranium in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil.
Ginger is also excellent for pain relief. For muscular aches and pains take a bath with 2 drops Ginger, 2 drops Lemon and 2 drops Black Pepper.
Ginger is particularly good when conditions are aggravated by the damp.
On an emotional level Ginger is uplifting and gives us strength and courage.
On a spiritual level Ginger strengthens our will and determination.
